Hanoi launches Covid-19 epidemiological information map

On June 11, the Department of Information and Communications and the Hanoi Department of Health officially launched the Hanoi Covid-19 Epidemiological Information Map for epidemic prevention and control at the address: https://covidmaps.hanoi. gov.vn. Accordingly, just by connecting to the internet, people can search and detect problems about the Covid-19 epidemic around them or at any location in Hanoi on this epidemiological information map.

The system also provides mapping tools for density analysis and statistics to serve the people as well as for the management, monitoring and prevention of epidemics; Covid-19 testing sites; concentrated isolation areas; blockade and medical isolation areas; hospitals, medical centers… According to Mr. Nguyen Thanh Liem – Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Ho Chi Minh City. In Hanoi, the source of data and expert data on the Covid-19 epidemiology is provided by the city’s CDC and the Hanoi Department of Health and is continuously updated immediately after the official announcement.

The Department of Information and Communications hopes this will be one of the effective tools to support people and management agencies in the prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic. In phase 2, the city’s Department of Information and Communications, in coordination with the Department of Health and CDC, will continue to upgrade and add a number of new functions such as: Information on epidemiological points, blockade points, and positive cases announced within a period of time. user-defined radius on the map; update information on maps of districts, wards and communes that have taken samples for Covid-19 testing; locate, find a way to build a suitable travel route, limit contact with points at risk of infection.
