‘I really like that animal and it loves me too. I haven’t got anything. Why do they wish to take it away,’ the girl stated as she was barred from coming into the zoo.
A zoo in Belgium has introduced that it isn’t permitting a girl to fulfill weekly with a male chimp at this place due to her particular affection for it. Specifically, Adie Timmermans is a frequent customer to the zoo and bond carefully with Chita, a 38-year-old male chimpanzee.
According to the zoo, this girl visits Chita on the zoo each week, they usually typically wave to one another. Adie Timmermans even kissed the male chimp. Experts say this isn’t good for Chita as a result of it would have an effect on its social expertise.
Adie Timmermans was banned from the zoo as a result of she was too keen on Chita chimpanzees.
The Belgian zoo says Chita lives with different chimpanzees and is ready to socialize with them most of her time.
“An animal that is too focused on humans will have little respect for its fellow humans. We want Chita to be a real chimpanzee. Outside of visiting hours at the zoo, Chita has to live 15 hours a day with her group. We want to give Chita the chance to be as happy as possible“, quoted the zoo’s report.
When receiving info that they have been banned from coming into the zoo, Adie Timmermans stated that each she and Chita could be distraught if they didn’t see one another subsequent time. “I love that animal and it loves me too. I don’t have anything else. Why do they want to take it?“, the girl asserted.
She stated that she didn’t see her habits as unsuitable, resulting in the forbidden to enter the zoo. Adie Timmermans makes the argument: “Chita is 38 years old this year and has been used to living with humans since childhood. The average lifespan of chimpanzees is about 40 years old. So at this age, its behavior won’t change anymore“.
Former male chimpanzee Chita saved as a pet. Later, when Chita grew and have become “unmanageable”, it was given to the zoo by its proprietor. Initially residing on the zoo, this chimpanzee didn’t actually get alongside together with his fellow people. In 2008, Chita was additionally concerned in a combat and injured her again.
